These handy panels will heat a bucket from the bottom up helping to prevent candying or decandy a bucket. They do not have a thermostat but in testing were not prone to overheating the honey. Some sort of box or cover over the bucket helps to keep the heat in and speed up performance..but be careful of overheating and causing a fire.
